Rex is a 2009 SUV Wagon 4x4 to take Shovel and Gumby on off road adventures.
Shovel and Gumby will always love Banana and Albert and wish them both all the very best with their new owners. Long live Banana and Albert 💛🚕 💙🚙 Welcome to the Shovel and Gumby family, Rex We are completely obsessed by ‘Cane Trains’ and the process of harvesting and growing this variety of grass that in its raw state contains only about 15% sugar #addictedtocanejuice 🍹
Gumby’s Parents visit Cairns, Undara Lava Tubes and Mission Beach. Really enjoyable weekend and a wonderful adventure further inland.
The track Cairn’s Tourism don’t won’t you to know about… The skytrail is $150 pp, the train is $100 pp, but this walk of 20ish kilometres round trip costs nothing. Breath taking views of Barron Gorge interlace lush rainforest, the track peppered by rocky creek beds and strenuous gravel hill climbs, made for an awesome adventure, definitely not to be forgotten.
Thankfully we didn’t spot any feral pigs on this occasion… 🐷 A little further north of Kurrimine beach on the Bruce Highway between Cairns and Innisfail is Cowely beach, a long stretch of soft sand and calm waves that we felt we could just walk along all day.
The Red Arrow Track looking back towards Cairns. A popular local exercise enthusiast hangout, which is why we only did it once and don’t rate it as high as other less populated walks.
Located on the Port Douglas Road north of Cairns, its quiet vibe makes you feel far away from civilisation. It was our favourite beach to go and chill out at while we lived in Cairns 🌴😎
